1: Today is my birthday. Yesterday, I closed out the twenty- third year of my life the best way I knew how; by running a half marathon (more on that tomorrow). I decided to start off this new year with a nice beach ride and an early morning breathe of fresh ocean air.

2-3: I walked into my office this morning to a box of smile cookies and a bouquet of flowers sitting on my desk. (I have the best officemates in the entire world!! -  Note the card in the flowers).

As I sat down to write this post, I wanted not to focus on the celebration of this one day, but instead on the excitement of what all the year ahead holds. Many changes are on the horizon; I just can't wait to find out the details of them all.

And As I ring in my twenty-fourth year today, I am reminded of the Switchfoot song below.

Twenty-four oceans, twenty four hearts; all of my symphonies in twenty-four parts... I want to see miracles, to see the world changed, wrestle the angel, for more than a name, for more than a feeling, for more than a cause; I'm singing spirit take me up in arms with you...

I can't wait to see what all twenty-four will bring. Enjoy!
